Editor's introduction to worship:
This collection of original music from the Christadelphian community is intended for personal and congregational worship. The word "worship" has referred to both an immediate reaction to the presence of God manifested, and the formal services organised for praise and rememberance of God, His promises, especially the fulfilled promise of His son, Jesus. The works within this volume are themselves an action of worship, both immediate and planned, because of God's greatness, His message, and His calling.
It is hoped that this collection will help to appeal, comfort, and uplift the believer's heart. The music and words within this collection are varied in style and approach, reflecting the diverse voices that are within the community. Music is presented as lead sheets, piano/vocal scores, and SATB arrangements to suit different methods of reading/performing/learning music. Editorial decisions concerning presentation of language have been based on practices found in the New King James Bible.
This is only one small volume of original music; there is still more music being written, so more volumes are planned in the future. We have attempted to include as many as possible in service to composers, writers, musicians, congregations, in parise of our Father and His Son, who has made it possible for us to approach Him in many ways, including the expressive medium of music.
